My name is John Fallon and I am a Senior at Keene State College in New Hampshire. I am a double major in Holocaust and Genocide Studies (HGS) and History with a specialization in War, Peace and Society. I take a special interest in the study of United States Military History. I was born and raised in Howell, New Jersey and came to Keene State College in the fall of 2015.

My Civil War research paper will be focused on the Irish Brigade and its story during the Civil War. I will be looking at its formation, functionality, battlefield experiences, cultural impact and its remembrance. I choose this subject because I am of Irish heritage and have always taken an interest in Irish American history.
