Hello everybody my name is Raymond Alosky and I am a junior here at Keene State College and majoring in History. I am from a small town in Connecticut called Coventry and have lived there for my whole life now. I transferred hear from Niagara University up in Buffalo and have been going to Keene for about a year now.

For this project I wanted to pursue the importance of photography in the Civil War. So throughout the semester I will be looking into to how photography and the media had a part in shaping the outcome of the Civil War. I chose this topic because I find pictures very meaningful and do believe in the old saying that a picture says a thousand words.
